	    In any industrial facility, the Main Low Voltage Switchboard (MLVS) is a central component. Often tucked away in a technical room, it remains the true electrical heart of the site. Without it, no machines, lighting systems, or safety devices can operate.
The role of the MLVS is to receive low-voltage electrical energy — usually from a transformer or directly from the grid — and then distribute it in a structured, protected, and reliable manner across all circuits in the building or plant.
It consists of many components: power circuit breakers, copper busbars, protection relays, contactors, current transformers, and sometimes programmable logic controllers (PLCs). All of these elements share a common goal: to protect people and equipment, and to ensure service continuity.
A well-designed MLVS enables you to:
- Segment outgoing circuits (by zone, usage, or power level);
- Ensure selectivity and fault discrimination (so only the affected area shuts down);
- Facilitate maintenance without interrupting the entire power supply;
- Easily scale the installation by adding new circuits or devices;
- Track and monitor energy consumption through measurement and supervision modules.
