Belgotech validates the electrical switchboards for a future chocolate factory in Côte d’Ivoire with 15 Ivorian engineers.

Last June, Belgotech welcomed a delegation of 15 engineers from Côte d’Ivoire to its workshops in the Liège region of Belgium, as part of a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) for the electrical switchboards of a future chocolate manufacturing plant.

Belgotech was responsible for the entire project, from A to Z:

• Electrical design of the installations and component selection,
• Drawing and 3D modelling of the switchboards,
• Manufacturing in its workshop in accordance with applicable industrial standards,
• Functional testing and FAT in the presence of the end customer.

This validation phase enabled the Ivorian teams to test the various electrical functions of their future production line under real-life conditions — including automation, safety systems and start-up sequences — before the equipment was shipped by sea to Côte d’Ivoire.

“Bringing the customer’s teams on site for a complete FAT ensures that there are no surprises once the switchboards arrive at the facility,” explains Laura Warnant, CEO of Belgotech. This approach significantly reduces the risk of non-conformities, commissioning delays and the costs associated with remote corrective work.
